NAAPE aims to further the professional status of the fields of Philosophy and Education by joining other regional, national and international philosophy and education societies in encouraging thoughtful scholarship and a robust exchange of ideas between philosophers, philosophers of education and educational practitioners.

Conference
NAAPE hosts an international conference annually at the end of October. The conference takes place each year on the beautiful grounds of the University of St. Mary of the Lake, in Mundelein, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.
